At Thatch Caye Resort, we know that exceptional dining is a key part of your Caribbean island escape. As a private island resort, you’ll be dining exclusively with us, which is why every stay includes our All-Inclusive, Island Package. This means you’ll enjoy three fresh, chef-prepared meals daily, plus snacks and unlimited local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages—all crafted with the finest seasonal ingredients from Muy’Ono Farms.

We take pride in our Belizean and international cuisine, prepared by the island’s best local chefs. With no fixed menus, every dish is inspired by what’s fresh and in season. We also cater to most dietary needs, just let us know when you book your trip, and we’ll ensure your meals are prepared to your preferences.

A Typical Day of Island Dining:

  • Begin your morning at Coco Lounge, where breakfast is served from 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee or tea, tropical fruit, and made-to-order dishes like eggs, bacon, sausage, Belizean fried jacks, toast, and Johnny cakes. Need an early caffeine fix? Self-serve coffee is available starting at 6:30 a.m.

  • For lunch at The Grove (12:30 - 1:30 p.m.), expect light yet satisfying options like fish hoagies, wraps, watermelon soup, or classic Belizean rice and beans. If you’re out on an adventure, we’ll pack a delicious to-go lunch for you.

  • As the sun begins to set, unwind at Starfish Bar for Happy Hour (4:00 – 7:00 p.m.) with a refreshing cocktail and a light afternoon snack—ceviche, nachos, and hummus are some guest favorites.

  • Dinner is a highlight at Thatch Caye. Served at 7:00 p.m. in The Grove, meals feature authentic Belizean flavors and fresh local ingredients, often including a seafood or meat entrée, with vegetarian options available upon request. Weather permitting, you’ll dine at picnic tables under the stars, creating an unforgettable island dining experience.
