“Our wedding of 18 people rented the island for three days, and it was absolutely wonderful. The setting is paradise, and the staff is thoughtful, gracious and fun to be around! They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and relaxed the entire weekend.
We picked the more remote end of the island for our ceremony, under a beautiful thatch roof, surrounded by trees, water and conch shells. We said our vows at 9 am and had a delicious brunch reception immediately following. The morning event meant our guests could put on their swimsuits and get back to snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking all afternoon, which was ideal (the water is gorgeous). While it was a bit windy, nobody minded, and one side of the island stayed nice and calm.
Thatch Caye was perfect for our non-traditional wedding. We wanted something unique, natural and intimate, where we could make incredible memories with people we care about, and that’s exactly what we got. We’re so thankful for the experience, and hope to come back to celebrate our anniversary!”
