Our experience with Thatch Caye and the team was fantastic! Everyone was responsive and communicative from the beginning of the process to the last moment we boarded the boat to leave. I've led retreats round the globe and Thatch Caye was truly one of the best experiences I and the group have had. The entire island crew was kind and generous, attentive and caring, and did their best to ensure everyone in the retreat group had a most wonderful time. Thank you Thatch Caye and most of all Dewey! We will be back!

Muy'Ono Resorts are nothing less than extraordinary! The rooms, amenities, and natural beauty of the resort offer peaceful escape met with an abundance of play and warm hospitality. The entire staff make sure you are fed the cleanest and freshest foods. They always greet you with a warm smile and helpful hand. From quiet breakfast to active yoga to snorkeling with exotic colorful fish, making chocolate and learning about the land, capped off with vast star watching this is a getaway no one should miss! I’m headed back for my third retreat to a Muy'Ono Resort and plan to make it a regular tradition. Thank you Belize for all the love!
I so enjoyed the mix of yoga and guided meditation, along with sufficient free time for island exploration. Shelby is an AMAZING yoga teacher!!! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her and everyone else. I loved that the accommodations were clean and modern, but also minimalistic. The highlight of the resort for me was the guided snorkeling trip. Our guide was super knowledgable about the marine life. The staff was very friendly and the food was also really good! I have no complaints! I loved that the resort is small and felt remote. Thank you Thatch Caye for a great experience!!
I stayed here for 5 days for a yoga retreat. All I could say is “wow!” What an amazingly special place. You should know before going that this is a tiny, 1 mile long island. It is rustic, charming, and isolated. But that’s why you should be going there-you should want that type of experience. If you don’t want that, don’t go! Go somewhere bigger and more commercialized. However, if you want a truly warm and wonderful remote island experience, book here immediately! Everything about this place was magical. The staff, food, and views are incredible! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets will leave you breathless. You won’t go hungry with all the delicious food. And the staff cannot cater enough to every one of your needs. Really a wonderful stay and I hope to go back one day!
I stayed at Thatch Caye 5 nights for a yoga retreat. I had the absolute best time! I thought the island was a perfect environment for practicing yoga and enjoying the beautiful marine life of Belize. Thatch Caye is rustic and off the beaten path, which I find much more interesting and authentic than a commercialized resort. Don't get me wrong, Thatch Caye offers plenty of amenities such as in room air conditioning and excellent food for a very comfortable stay. The views and the wildlife make this place incredible. The friendly staff, delicious food/beverages, and environmentally conscious accommodations are an added bonus. The snorkeling was an added cost, but well worth it. I loved that Kayaks are free and always available. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing and remote island getaway!
